My second stop for London Fashion Week Day Two took me to the most beautiful setting at Elms Lesters Painting Rooms for Edeline Lee’s SS17 Presentation.
With a clean set of delicate screens projecting urban street scenes, the studio was filled with a soft, cool vibe.
The girls rotated every few minutes, letting the audience meander through a maze of beauty and, on a practical note, allowed us to really absorb every piece without feeling rushed through. It also gave the models enough time to really connect with the cameras (a hard feat considering the number of flashes going off in the room), allowing for some fabulous shots even on my little Samsung 7!
The collection was one of the most wearable I had seen throughout fashion week, with gorgeous sequin details, clever colour blocking, delicate checks and the most beautiful cream coat with colourful trim.
The pretty details were brilliantly offset by the sporty socks and chunky sandals, making the epitome of fashion faux par’s the latest cool girl must have.
Edeline Lee truly nailed it.
For my first experience of a London Fashion Week Presentation, Lee’s collection was a breath of fresh air. Perfectly balanced, beautifully crafted and with a set that allowed the audience to connect on an incredibly personal level with the models and garment, I could not have wished for a better start to my Fashion Week adventures.
Next up – Helter Studios and Omer Asim – stay tuned!
Until next time lovelies x
