Big Colour in Little India …

Hustle and bustle, tempting aromas, noisy street hawkers, gorgeous fabrics and bursts of colour… it’s got to be Little India …

As a part time food lover and full time colour junkie, Singapore’s Little India was always going to be a must see destination for me! So we left our apartment in crazy Chinatown and headed over to the equally magical slice of India north of the CBD.

With a dizzying array of sights, sounds and smells we headed off in hunt for the perfect colour popping locations to take some shots…

The day was hot and unbearably humid (‘Welcome to Singapore’ our friends said when the husband and I met them for dinner with rather attractive matching flop sweats… nice) so I opted for a cool, conservative number for our little outing. With gorgeous teal and burnt orange fabric, I picked this beauty up in a little night market in Laos for an absolute steal. I love the way the lightly tailored fabric flows over my figure meaning it is cute, comfy and I don’t look like I am wearing a fancy paper bag… winner!

Paired with some simple flops, my trusty leather satchel and lightly layered boho jewellery courtesy of good old hippie central Byron Bay I was ready to go…

Dress: Luang Prabang night market
Satchel: custom, similar notonthehighstreet
Flops: MBK Thailand
Henna: stall @ Little India Arcade
Jewellery: all market stall steals from Thailand, Cambodia and Oz

Until next time lovelies,
