So we’re finally in Autumn! Yes we’re still getting some sunny days but it’s crisp, fresh and more importantly I can start wearing my boots!!
I recently brought some new ankle boots which I adore – little black, sleek H&M beauties – and whilst I fell for them in the shop, when I got home I faltered slightly…
Did I definitely love them? Did they suit my feet? Did they match my wardrobe?
Now I know what you’re thinking – how can an ankle boot cause so much woe? Well the answer is not in the boots itself but the length… you see these booties actually have a slightly taller finish than my other short ankle boots.
I have noticed this longer length in a lot of the boots for this season and I wanted a quick and easy way to freshen up my wardrobe for Autumn but my brain is so used to spying my pins in shorter versions, I am struggling to get used to this new look.
So what do I do?!
Do I take them back in favour of some safer ankle grazers? Do I just sling them in to the back of the wardrobe never to be worn again? Or do I get ALL of my clothes out and start a montage of outfit shots to rival the best of the teeny bopper chick flicks …

Now…I’m off to have a moral dilemma about a felt hat…
